How far would you go to be Three Inches Taller?
March 7, 2010 · 11 Comments
Last week I was watching Oprah, and the show was on the price people around the world for beauty and to help conform to each society’s standard. In China, how tall someone is holds such importance there are height requirements to get into College, apply for jobs, and, in some locations, to even apply for a Driver’s License (man…and I used to think needing to be a certain height to get on a Carnival ride was rough). With taller people getting such preferential treatment, it almost goes without saying potential mates put an enormous level of importance on the height of their future... [Read the full story]

Does it matter how you Sleep in bed together?
February 23, 2010 · 15 Comments
I was reading an article about how the position you and your partner sleep at night matters. Meaning, if you’re spooning, it means you’re very much in love and in synch with each other. And if you’re sleeping facing opposite directions, it means you want to smack each other. (Okay, that’s not exactly what it said. I may have taken a bit of a poetic license with my interpretation.) Anyhow, you get the gist….many articles I’ve read believe if you sleep like cute little spoons, all snuggled up like two bugs in a rug, things are good, but sleeping many other... Awesome Beef Stew recipe
February 17, 2010 · 3 Comments
Even though March is just around the corner, the layer of snow outside makes it abundantly clear it’s still Winter. And what’s better on a cold winter night than a fabulous, hot beef stew? I found this delicious recipe on the Martha Stewart site and made it one Sunday afternoon in my awesome Slow Cooker. I have to admit, the first time I made this stew we ate the entire thing. In one night. It’s supposed to serve six people. Beef Stew 3 pounds beef chuck, trimmed of visible fat and cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes 1/3 cup tomato paste 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar 2 tablespoons... [Read the full story]

Seven things men want in a relationship
October 21, 2009 · 8 Comments
A few weeks ago, a single friend asked me what I thought men are looking for in relationships. She wanted to know if all we want is sex and a beautiful woman. Men are much deeper than you might think when it comes to what we want in relationships. Granted, if what a guy’s looking for is something very short term, the list is pretty basic (good looking and available). However, when a man wants something real and lasting, the list changes quite a bit, just like I’m sure it does for women. So what most men want, and need, in a relationship are the following things: 1. Someone... [Read the full story]

New iPhone App helps Cheaters hide Affairs
February 28, 2010 · 9 Comments
An iPhone app launched the last week in February has the ability to help cheaters hide their dirty deeds. How does it work? Users are able to set a time limit on how long a text they send can hang around after it has been read. When that time’s been exceeded, the message disappears from the recipient’s phone, the sender’s phone and any servers. The test message can’t be forwarded or stored anywhere, either. I should also point out the name of this iPhone app is TigerText. No, I’m not kidding….although I wish I were. (The company swears the name was already... [Read the full story]

Linday Lohan sues E-Trade….no, Seriously
March 10, 2010 · 4 Comments
Under the topic “Delusional Linday Lohan needs to get a grip on reality”, she’s suing E-Trade for using the name Lindsay in a cute commercial. Apparently, Lohan is suing the financial company E-Trade, insisting that a boyfriend-stealing, “milkaholic” baby in its latest commercial — who happens to be named Lindsay — was modeled after her. And she wants $100 million for her pain and suffering. (you read that right – $100 million) The actress filed a lawsuit yesterday over the commercial that debuted during the Super Bowl this year. Lohan’s... [Read the full story]
