Relationship Advice from Ashley Dupre?

ashley-dupre

Ashley Dupre, the former Call Girl at the center of the Eliot Spitzer scandal recently started writing an advice column for The New York Post where she primarily focuses on answering relationship questions from people who write in for her help.

After I watched her speak with Barbara & Co on ‘The View’ (the clip below), I found her to be intelligent and have pretty good opinions regarding relationships.  So I got a little curious about her advice column and popped over to The Post to have a looksie for myself.

Personally, I’d take her advice into consideration, particularly regarding why men cheat.

Why would I listen to her?

Well, according the Ashley (we’re on a first name basis now), the men – her Customers – confided in her as to what they felt they were “missing” at home, which is what increased the chances they’d cheat.

Assuming she’s telling the truth, that does pretty much give her a bit of an insider’s point of view on Infidelity.  Additionally, I found most of her advice to be pretty well thought out and worthy of consideration.

Would you take relationship advice from Ashley Dupre?

Listening to her, to some degree, kinda makes sense to me. I read some of her advice and it seems relatively good.

I’m gonna guess she probably has some decent advice to dish out. She’s no PhD, but in the clip from the view she DOES say she never claimed to be one. Yeah, I’d probably listen to her, at least to a point. She has very different experiences from what I’ve had, which has to (hopefully) garner some wisdom. :-)

She knows a lot about men and their needs, needs which are more than sexual.
After all doesn’t everyone already know ALL of the sexual moves?
    See what I mean!

SusanS – I think some of her advice sounds pretty good, too!

JackieK – She has different experiences from me, too ;-) Her experience could prove pretty valuable.

Secretia – Great point about their needs (and everyone’s, really) going MUCH further than just sexual ones!

  5. I think she probably has some pretty good advice in some areas.

I’d listen to her to a point. She does have insider information as you point out! But I hate that she is now famous for what she did which makes me want to pay her no attention.

Also just wanted to let you know I included you in my 10 Blogs to Check Out in 2010 list in my latest post!

Girl’s been around the block a time or two – maybe worth a listen – unlike priests giving marriage advice ;-)

Wow. This is interesting. I don’t know if I would follow her advice, but I would definitely be fascinated to hear it!

Sounds like she knows a little something something about infidelity. I think the New York Post should have gone with my advice colum though. ;)
