Linday Lohan sues E-Trade….no, Seriously
Under the topic “Delusional Linday Lohan needs to get a grip on reality”, she’s suing E-Trade for using the name Lindsay in a cute commercial.
Apparently, Lohan is suing the financial company E-Trade, insisting that a boyfriend-stealing, “milkaholic” baby in its latest commercial — who happens to be named Lindsay — was modeled after her.
And she wants $100 million for her pain and suffering. (you read that right – $100 million)
The actress filed a lawsuit yesterday over the commercial that debuted during the Super Bowl this year.
Lohan’s lawyer, Stephanie Ovadia, said the actress has the same single-name recognition as Oprah, Cher or Madonna. (um, not really)
“Many celebrities are known by one name only, and E-Trade is using that knowledge to profit,” Ovadia said.
“They used the name Lindsay,” Ovadia said. “They’re using her name as a parody of her life. Why didn’t they use the name Susan? This is a subliminal message. Everybody’s talking about it and saying it’s Lindsay Lohan.”
Ovadia wants an injunction to force the spot off the air, and Team Lindsay wants every last copy of the commercial.
She says Lohan is owed $50 million in exemplary damages, plus another $50 million in compensatory damages.
As per The Post, E-Trade could not be reached for comment.
My guess is they were too busy laughing their asses off to answer the phone.
Ha – now everyone will pay attention to the commercial, and she’ll lose her lawsuit. What terrible PR!

This lawsuit makes me sad. Her career is in the toilet and she’s grasping. It makes her look ridiculous, arrogant and desperate. Really, do any of us think Lindsay Lohan only when we hear Lindsay????? She’s not even in the tabloids anymore that’s how bad she is!!
Seriously, when is this desperate, pathetic, alcoholic, coke-snorting, disease-infested whore going to just GO AWAY?!

This is so ridiculous. To even think that she would have a case….? Excuse me, but did she patent the name Lindsay? She is probably flat broke (that’s what I hear) and desperate for making any kind of money… even if it’s from an embarrassing lawsuit like this one.
I agree – someone on Team “What Was Her Name Again?” saw a small fleeting straw to get her back in the spotlight and is grasping at it with both hands.
Besides, who thinks of Lohan and MILK???
