Look Great Naked! (Part Two)

Alrighty….in our last article Look Great Naked (Part One) , we talked about drinking more water, increasing your exercise, and how important good posture is for your body and mind.  Now let’s go over a few other ways to look – and feel – fantastic without any clothes!

Compliment Yourself!  – Let’s be honest…….usually, we see positive traits and features in others pretty easily.  But while we’re telling our best friends how amazing they are, we’re often the same people who rip ourselves apart when we look in the mirror!  We’re sometimes our own worst critics, and chastise ourselves for our flaws, many of which either don’t really exist, or we exaggerate them in our heads.

Remember — Don’t say something to yourself that you wouldn’t allow a friend to say.  What I mean is, if a friend repeatedly said, “You look fat”, or “Man, you look like absolute crap today!”, would you keep that person as a friend?  No?  Then why the heck are you talking to yourself that way??  Be a best friend to yourself!

What works is to list out all the qualities you love about yourself.  And since we’re focusing on how to look good without clothes on, in this particular situation you should remind yourself of all your favorite body parts.  Maybe you have great calves.  Or maybe you love your stomach.  Whatever it is that you like about you, be sure and remind yourself about it and build yourself  up!  You deserve it!  :-)

Eat Healthy – Eating foods which are good for you helps in so many ways…..It gives you more energy mentally and physically, helps reduce bloating and keeps you in shape, and leaves you feeling not just better about yourself, but you’ll also feel more attractive (I mean, who really feels hot after downing six doughnuts and a half gallon of milk?)

So as trite as it might sound, unless your diet is already pristine, you may need to work on the basics…..eat more vegetables and fruit (especially more veggies!)…..consume lean, high quality proteins, particularly grass-fed beef, cage free eggs and antibiotic-free Chicken, and reduce – or eliminate! – sugar from your diet.

(I’ll go into the sugar thing in more detail another time, but trust me — sugar can cause your body to hold onto weight like crazy!)

Walk with Confidence – Trust me….you look much better than what your overly-critical mind is telling you! (remember — we’re usually our own worst critics!).  When you see confident people walk, they aren’t slouching or looking down at the ground, right?  In fact, sometimes you can almost feel the confidence radiating off of them!

You’ll want to hold your stomach in nice and tight, pull your shoulders back and hold your head up.  If you find you’re doubting yourself, don’t forget to start going through your mental reminders about how awesome you really are…because you do ROCK!

So, we’ve covered everything from water to healthy eating to building yourself up mentally…….. Now go out there and get naked, and walk like you’re the Hottie you really are!

(it’s probably important to note when I say “go out there”, I mean your Bedroom or Living Room.  I definitely don’t advise going out in public naked, no matter how awesome you look.  ;-) )
